FAQ

Where do you manufacture?

We are a British brand and like to keep everything in-house as much as possible, from design through manufacture and installation. Our workshop is in Harlow, Essex, where our highly-skilled team make everything to measure, ready for us to install in your home.

Can you give me an idea of pricing?

We are always happy to give you a free estimate. Please contact us regarding your project, and we will be happy to advise. The price for your bespoke piece will depend on the size, material and finish and the difficulty level of the project you would like. If you already have a specific budget in mind, please let us know so we can see what we can offer you within that budget.

How are you different to other fitted wardrobe companies?

At Dexes Bespoke Furniture we provide truly bespoke products and services. We work on a bespoke level based on each of our clients' needs, from the way we utilize the full height and length of the room to the vast number of colour choices for the carcasses, doors and panels. We don’t use standard size carcass frames; all our furniture is designed to fit your individual room.

What materials do you use?

Being a bespoke furniture manufacturer we process a lot of different materials such as melamine-faced boards, MDF, plywood, veneered MDF boards, etc. There is a high demand for using melamine faced boards (MFC) for wardrobe carcasses, and spray painted externals (doors, end panels, etc).
If it's MFC, then we can offer around 25 different colours of the internal carcass from one of our suppliers, or the entire Egger decorative collections.

I would like to keep my existing wardrobe, but I want to give it an update. Can you do doors only?

That is not a problem, we are happy to replace your old doors with the new style/colour of the door you desire.

And what about the handles?

We do not offer handles as they are readily available from retail shops or online, and in our experience our clients love to pick their own handles as the "crown jewels" of the new furniture. Although we are happy to fit them, and it is included in the price. In case of integrated handles, it is something we have to manufacture, so it will be included in the estimate.

I would like my doors created in a specific colour. Do you do colour-matching?

We can use any colour and sheen level of paint you would like to have, If you would prefer your wardrobe to match your walls, we can finish it in the exact colour of your choice whether it is hand painted or spray painted finish.

I would ideally like some LED lights in the wardrobe. How much would that cost?

It is something we can help yo with. Generally speaking we can fit the LED lights in the region of £100-£120 per point, but our electrician needs to confirm the price after a site survey as he needs to look at each situation individually.

What is the process?

How long will the manufacturing take?

The manufacturing time varies depending on the size of the project. We always provide our customers a projected timeframe with the price estimate.

How long will the installation take?

The installation time varies depending on the size of the project. At this stage we will be with you for anything from half a day upwards. We will give you an idea of how long your installation may take and be sure to keep you updated throughout the process.
